A man from Australia who vaulted across a fence and reached for celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and banned from Singapore.

The individual, 26, was sentenced to nine days in detention for disrupting public order and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities informed Singaporean press.

The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the performer and artist, who was participating in the Asian debut for the film on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

He has a background of causing disturbances at events and star-studded occasions, including leaping onto the platform at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The occurrence caused anger in Singapore, with several individuals saying he of re-traumatising Grande.

The singer has spoken of dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at her show in the English city in May 2017 took the lives of 22 people and affected hundreds.

Throughout the court proceedings, the authorities learned he had tried to gain access on the red carpet event multiple times, according to regional reports.

He then made a second attempt to cross the barriers. Security staff stopped him and restrained him.

The man subsequently shared videos appreciating the celebrity for letting him on the carpet and said he was "released."

Authorities arrested him the following day and brought charges against him with public nuisance, to which he confessed.

The District Judge the judicial official was cited by Channel News Asia as remarking that Wen was "attention seeking", commenting that he was wrong to believe he would not suffer any consequences.

Grande has not spoken about the incident.

The co-star spoke about the incident to the press, stating that she "just wanted to verify my friend was secure."

"I think he had no intention to us harm, but you can't predict with those things, and I aimed to make sure that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she stated.
