Information Available Concerning the Fatalities of the Bondi Beach Terror Attack
A minimum of 16 individuals perished and in excess of 40 sustained injuries when attackers shot at a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach, a tragedy Australian authorities have labeled a act of terrorism.

Schlanger and his wife celebrated the arrival of their newest son just a few months ago.
Alexander Kleytman
Alexander Kleytman was also confirmed among the deceased, according to his wife.
She told the moments leading up to the attack, explaining they had been standing together when the gunfire started. āHe shielded me because he wanted to stay near me,ā she recalled.
The husband and wife were both Holocaust survivors, having faced unspeakable terror in their youth. They had later immigrated to Australia from Eastern Europe.
Dan Elkayam
The French foreign ministry have confirmed that French man Dan Elkayam is a casualty.
Publicly, the Foreign Minister said that France stood with his family and loved ones, the Jewish community, and the Australian people.
āThis despicable act is a fresh and tragic example of a disgusting rise of hatred against Jews that we must eradicate,ā the statement read.
One Child
A young girl, aged 10 who was taken to the Sydney Childrenās Hospital is among those who had died, police have confirmed.
One Israeli Citizen
A national of Israel was a fatality during the attack, as per reports referencing the Israeli foreign ministry.
Those Injured
Of the 42 people taken to hospitals, a significant number are still under care, with five in a critical state. The injured comprise two police officers who attended the scene.
One of the injured is a member of the public who rushed to the scene to confront one of the gunmen. Hailed as a hero, he sustained gunshot wounds but is expected to recover in hospital.
Arsen Ostrovsky
One of those wounded is Arsen Ostrovsky, a public affairs professional. Sources state he was wounded and underwent treatment in hospital.

Evan Zlatkis
Evan Zlatkis, a media director, was another casualty in the shooting. He told reporters he listened to āa large numberā of gunshots.
